Retired forty-some year old Regitze and her daughter, Bat, now almost twelve, are living in historic, idyllic Roskilde, Denmark. They live a normal quite life, where the main excitement is Thursdays when the new weeklies are out, or afternoons when Bat's twelve friends come over to play.
