Author Description

This book by a group of related poets, from the Vagg and Parker families, is a contribution to the rich history of bush verse in Australia. All the poets featured were born and bred in western NSW and their verse is largely based on experiences from this area. Being from a number of different authors, readers will observe different styles and content in the poetry. The illustrations have been done by artist Joan Vagg, who also has poetry featured.Recently, our family has been affected by the cruel disease of early onset dementia. While dementia is all too common in the elderly, it's showing up more frequently in younger people. This book is part of a fundraising campaign for Dementia Australia Research Foundation, that also involves artwork sales and other activities throughout 2018.
