This two-volume, spiral-bound manual for applying the Analytical Reading Inventory (ARI) assessment method consists of an instructor's handbook and a collection of passages for readers. The instructor's manual provides basic step-by-step directions for using ARI and documenting a case study. Interview questions, profile forms, and examination documents are provided, and two audio CDs contain a practice case study and component-specific exercises. The reader's volume contains word lists, stories, and expository passages on scientific and social science topics, representing various levels of skill and difficulty.
