Modernising Medical Careers (MMC) is a strategy to reform postgraduate medical education. Its first component is a two-year Foundation Programme of supervised clinical practice that will provide a bridge between undergraduate and postgraduate medical training. This operational framework has been developed to support the implementation of this training, which will be introduced in August 2005.
