The poems contained within this book were all written during 2020. The first 21 poems are of a rhymed mixed stanza style and consistent in their 4x4, single-page format depicting British Living. The central theme of the book is Broken Britain. The final poem is a fast-paced 72 page, public commentary ballad, inclusive of continuity comments from multiple satirical perspectives and false advertisements describing the deeds, manner and idiocracy of Britain's most corrupt, neatly packed into a metaphorical "House". Sub-themes range amongst media, politics, racism, corruption, classism, colonialism, capitalism and British idiocracy. The books undertones are naturally satirical, dark, nonchalant, poignant and candid. The punch resides within the detailed metaphors, radical notions and enigmatic concepts, with its intent to leave any literary purveyor to wonder, did I read that right? With poems such as "Bye Corona", "Futurecasting for Dummies" and "Retrofitted Racism", there's sure to be something for everyone. Recommended for a knowledgeable audience.
