The Principality of Asturias is the Spanish autonomous community with the highest average age. Its aging rate is the highest of all the Spanish autonomous communities.Given this tendency towards aging and the fact that it is increasingly accentuated, we thought it necessary to focus on the study of the nutritional status and associated factors of the very elderly population with acute disease in a geriatric hospital in our autonomous community, the Monte Naranco Hospital in Oviedo.
