
Examines the cost effectiveness of activities designed to increase occupational safety. Based on a survey carried out in 1988 and 1989, suggests that cost effectiveness is measured by the cost of safety activities per accident-free working hour, and that comparisons between companies is measured by the number of working hours lost due to accidents per output unit.
