For some patients the hospital environment helps recovery. For others, poor accommodation and security, insufficient staffing, and boredom exacerbate difficulties and create new ones, subjecting patients to an environment that is inhumane instead of therapeutic. Mind has identified some examples of good practice of inpatient care in hospitals.
