Author Description

This proceedings contains over 130 papers presented at ASCE's Construction Congress V held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, October 5-7, 1997. This publication is divided into seven major topic areas that present both practice- and research-oriented papers. The areas covered are: trends in mechanical and electrical contracting; innovative underground construction technologies; practical computer applications; changing project delivery systems; emerging global opportunities; modern residential construction; and construction management and automation. In addition, industry experts provide their thoughts and ideas with respect to the state-of-the-art of each topic.
