This case study includes deep understanding of phenomenon of HVDC with its background, advantages and applications over EHVAC. This research work accumulates various faults which regularly occurs on line and few critical faults which challenged to the engineers. We tried to pursue deep study of the faults and tried to elaborate to the young engineers who looking to study high voltage transmission system. This book will certainly be helpful for other scholars to develop an insight to understand HVDC transmission technology and to observe the performance of Chandrapur-Padaghe HVDC line with its history, background and various innovations implemented on line since commissioning.
