Il quale non sa rispondere ed interroga, alla sua volta, I' Intendente di Avellino. Si noti, intanto, che il de Sanctis non fu in Napoli prima de' 22 ottobre 1849. Era, dopo i grandi fatti avvenuti, andato in Morra. E, se era partito col barone Cozzolino a' 5 novembre dello istesso anno per Cosenza, e chiaro ch'egli stette nella Capitale solo pochi giorni, meno d'un mese.
