Three men of a certain age decide to return to Canada, to the cabins, after the COVID-closed borders once again opened. The trip is chronicled by one of them and tells the story of their trip north, their stay at the lake, and their journey of discovery. The trio were fishing for trout by trolling flies on fly rods, and the trout fishing was outstanding. Sockeye salmon had returned, traveling hundreds of miles from the ocean up the Fraser River and into Lake Quesnel, British Columbia. Because of that, they had hopes of seeing bears along the shore. What they did see was something very different.
