The ability to take cotton, wool, linen or other materials and create useful clothing, home décor, or even something to hang on the wall has often been thought of as ‘woman’s work’. It is really so much more. The clothing becomes fashion, the wall hanging works of art. Anyone interested in weaving, creating something unique, creating something by hand will enjoy this book. Instructions and diagrams for both hand looms and floor looms are given. This weaving still uses a shuttle. Some of the beautifully photographed work was created by students at the Textile Department of the School of Applied Arts in Stockholm.
