Of investigations, carried out at the Imperial Research Department in Sarnia from 1957-66, on various aspects of oil sands composition and behaviour. The papers begin with the composition of oil sands, oil, minerals, water and gas; behaviour, including flotation, additives, sand reduction and solvent dilution; and mechanisms, including interfacial, microstructure and separations. Papers on experimental techniques and equipment, and solvent extraction then follow.
