Hasselbalch (U. of Stockholm) provides students and practitioners with an overview of Danish labor law. Introductory chapters examine the social, economic, and political context. Next, various aspects of individual employment relations, such as working hours, maternity leave, and non-competition agreements are discussed. The remaining chapters are devoted to collective labor issues (i.e., trade unions, collective bargaining, etc.). Originally published as a monograph in the International Encyclopedia of Laws/Labour Law and Industrial Relations, the material in this volume has been rewritten by Monica Smith and Sylvia van Oosten-Rosman (affiliations not cited).
