Author Description

From artistic Ankylosaurus to zany Zygosaurus, "Mammoth is Mopey" features a whimsical cast of prehistoric animals familiar and obscure. Each critter gets its own spread, and since we span over 500 million years and visit places around the world, we include a bit of context about when and where each lived. Even more useful, the pronunciation for every animal's name is included. Our ultimate goal is for the book to be a shared experience between children and their adult caregivers - they can learn together about these fantastic animals, sound out their names, talk about the emotions and actions on each page, and hunt for letterforms hidden in each illustration.
