This book contains a study carried out in Kanpur in India, it focus on Assessment & Importance of pharmaceutical care in patients with essential hypertension. Pharmaceutical care is an essential component of therapy, it can improve outcomes and reduce treatment cost by taking cognitive initiation to prevent, detect and resolve, drug related problems and educating and motivating patients in non pharmacological intervention of hypertension.The results from this study shows that the combination of pharmacist intervention can improve blood pressure control in patients with hypertension, this study also estimated the incidence of potential drug-drug interactions occurring in the Cardiology unit and also evaluated patient understanding of disease and medication adherence with help of suitably designed questionnaires.
