In America, Benjamin Franklin did the first, but it was from the pen of Thomas Nast and his war with the Boss Tweed administration that the genre grew popular. Charles Ray, who was once editorial cartoonist for a small North Carolina weekly, takes on the administration of Donald J. Trump with a series of biting cartoons that are intended as much to entertain as to enlighten.
