Author Description

When Count Alvaro is kidnapped and held for ransom a sequence of unpredictable events unfold. The beautiful Contessa d'Forte finds her fate rests in the caprices of happenstance while in the pursuit to repossess two toy bears. Caught in the intrigue of smoldering rebellion, a naive Bernardo becomes entangled in the same pursuit. Their paths collide as friends and enemies, both racing against time to avoid a charge of treason.
