This compilation of items from the past and present will allow readers to make comparisons, express opinions and perhaps be more discriminating in not accepting what they read at face value. It should be particularly useful to students as an addition to their general reading. The articles are intended for silent reading. The questions can be answered both orally and in writing. They provide opportunities for both pair and group work.
