This report on the salvage of the victims and wreckage of TWA Flight 800 documents the techniques and procedures that were used in this difficult operation. The report is intended to serve two purposes. First, it documents the actual conduct of the operation. Secondly, and more importantly, the report provides lessons learned so that if confronted with an event of this nature in the future, the salvage teams ready reference to draw upon.
