Blood Ties is a collection of stories about menstruation written by people with periods at Western Reserve Academy. Storytelling has been the historic way of educating young people about periods. From mother to daughter, from friend to friend, and every other connection built by blood, periods create a tie across cultures, experiences, and people. Unfiltered and free, these stories give a glimpse into the similarities and differences people have that connect to periods. Each voice in this storybook shines through as uniquely individual, with over 15 different stories written by over 10 different people.
