This book was first published in 1950 as a paperback in spiral binding. Now in 1990 the book has been out 40 years and is available in both paperback and hardbound editions. Whatever else it is, journalism is a style of writing with words that communicate and have power. In 1952, Look magazine summed up that power of words with a commentary that is our justification for being teachers of language.
