The text combines author-composed examples with music carefully selected from the literature for an ideal pedagogical progression. The text is organized into four chapters by activity type - Melodies, Rhythm, Duets, and Sing and Play. Within each chapter, activities are organized into sections by difficulty, so finding the right activity for a class is simple. This organization gives instructors the flexibility to focus on the types of activities that interest them and their students.
