In this monograph, Bryan S.K. Kim presents various issues related to effective counseling with Asian American clients, motivated by the belief that having a good understanding of the demographic, historical, sociopolitical, and cultural characteristics of Asian American individuals will increase the likelihood of counselors implementing more relevant and effective services with this population.
