Product Description As the first English translation of Saam Five-Element Acupuncture, this book will guide readers through a wholistic and systematic acupuncture method. Saam was a Korean buddhist monk who sought to explore the mysteries of our bodies' innate Yin-Yang and Five Elements. To treat disease, Saam Acupuncture uses a combination of Five Transporting points of the involved meridians. The text is composed of 43 chapters covering diverse illnesses ranging from stroke to hemorrhoids with specific classifications and acupuncture formulae. Efforts was made to translate the text as accurately as possible, and illustrations were added for each acupuncture combination. About the Author Sanghoon Lee, KMD, PhD, LAc. Dr. Sanghoon Lee is an associate professor of Acupuncture & Moxibustion at Kyung Hee University. He completed his internship, residency, fellowship in the field of acupuncture, and he also worked at The Johns Hopkins CAM Center and Cancer Center as a clinical research fellow and instructor. Dr. Lee was awarded for his research accomplishments by Society for Integrative Oncology and Korean Society of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, etc. He co-authored several books including recently published Integrative Oncology (Humana Press, USA) and he has lectured on Saam acupuncture and his research work in many international conferences in USA, Germany, Japan, Australia, Czech Republic, etc. Suk-Kyun Hahn, MD.
