The Victorian Government?s 2012 Victorian Refugee health and wellbeing strategy: Consultation summary identifies LGBT and intersex (I) refugees and asylum seekers as: having particular needs (Department of Health 2012). However, the response of Government and service providers alike shows this acknowledgement is not reflected, in any systematic way. This specific research on the needs and backgrounds of young lgbt refugees, and recommendations will possibly lead to better services for them.
