Parker: A Portfolio of Words and Pictures volume 2 by Richard Stark and Darwyn Cooke This is a promotional comic which came when retailers preordered five copies of Darwyn Cooke's first Parker graphic Novel, The Hunter. It includes sketchbook images as well as thoughts from Darwyn Cooke, and is in full color. A spectacular piece. Contents and format: * 16 pages plus covers, printed on very heavy matte art paper. * It's the size of a comic book but stapled at the short end, so that it opens in a "widescreen" format. * Illustrations throughout by Darwyn Cooke. These are preliminary illustrations and full color sketchbook drawings which do not appear in the finished version. * Short Essay by John Banville: The Working-Class Anti-Hero * Westlake on Authority * Cooke on the Art of Crime * Cooke on Designing Parker * Westlake on Collaboration * The Search for Parker
