Author Description

This work is an examination of banking and other financial institutions in Eritrea. The author is a professor of economics in Eritrea and has focused on commercial and development banks in his study in this East African country. Also examined are non-banking institutions which play an equally important role in the country's economic development and well-being only in varying degrees and sometimes in different contexts. This is one of the first studies of financial institutions in Eritrea making it an indispensable work for scholars and others involved in the field.
