
The foundation was established to fund basic, patient, and health research. This is the third triennial report of the foundation, covering 1990-93, and the second report of the International Board of Review, conducted every six years. The report describes the achievements of researchers in patient care and research on the brain and heart, molecular biology, nerve regeneration, infant care, the immune system, vaccines, diabetes, gene therapy, and cancer. The report also highlights researchers involved in each area and describes projects being conducted in inner-city health care and technology transfer. Financial data are included.
