His recent non-poetry credits include music and money. For the former, he contributed over a dozen articles on rhythm and blues, country, jazz and classic pop in 'The St. James Encyclopedia of Popular Culture'; and a performance piece based on the life of Marian Anderson, wich featured Harry Belafonte and Phylicia Rashad; he teaches courses in the blues, and has had songs recorded by Orleans, John Hall, and Fred Koller. His work was included in 'Sweet Nothings' (U. of Indiana Press), an anthology of poetry about rock'n'roll. For the latter, he has written a series of books with money maven Neale S. Godfrey. He describes is relationship with money as "much like Carl Sagan's relationship with the cosmos-I can write about it, I can claim a certain expertise about it, but I can't get close to it." He has also written a theatrical version of 'Situations' which is available for production, and is working on a n audio version of it for CD. He is the artistic director of Opus 40, the monumental environmental sculpture, in Saugerties, New York, where he lives.
