Author Description

In 1983, Dr. Yip Wai Hong accepted an invitation to found the Hong Kon Yip's Children's Choir and be its conductor. This, in turn gave birth to Yip's Training Centre, a musical school for the children and young people of Hong Kong. This book is the story of the development of the training program, how the centre functions, its curriculum, its organisation and management, its objectives, and the tools he finds most useful in teaching young people. He advocates the use of musical games and the computer as training tools to enhance the children's confidence and creativity. He believes learning should be fun and the centre's motto is "learning is playing, playing is learning."
