This sequel to the highly acclaimed volumes devoted to Delacroix's earler work begins in the year he journeyed to Morocco--an experience that was arguably the most fruitful single experience in his life as an artist--and ends with his death in 1863. This the first complete catalogue of the paintings of this great French Romantic to appear since the 19th century, and it has, in the words of one critic, "extended the boundaries of the catalogue raisonne" (Art Bulletin).
