Volunteer firefighting paramedic Robert J. Doyle and his crew are back again. He is still struggling with his inner demons, the result of an incident in war-torn Lebanon, when he ordered the destruction of a complete village. As he walked through the carnage, Doyle vowed one day to pay for the loss of innocent lives. Doyle, still believes with each life he helps save; he makes a payment on his debt. As Doyle responds to his community’s calls for help, he ignores his own needs. To counteract flashbacks brought on by PTSD and by being burned out from his nonstop service to the public, Doyle continues to use alcohol to keep going in his endeavor to save lives and property. Medic 1260 still centers on Doyle’s continuing struggle to find inner peace, but Doyle’s inner demons provoke him to action, but the men and women with whom he serves also make no less a sacrifice. They answer every call, day or night, sacrifice time, and risk their lives in service to their communities. Now there is a twist for Doyle. He is going to be a father providing he survives.
