Cuban Studies is the preeminent journal for scholarly work on Cuba. Each volume includes articles in English and Spanish and a large book review section. Cuban Studies has been published annually by the University of Pittsburgh Press beginning with volume 16 in 1985. A special section on women in Cuban history forms the centerpiece of this volume, with articles that explore women's roles as political actors, as symbols, and in religion. The Archives section contains an overview of the growing resources for the study of Cuba available in Miami's libraries. As always, Cuban Studies includes a large book review section and an exhaustive compilation of recent works in the field.
