Following the November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks, LeT has predictably received a larger amount of attention but still remains a poorly understood organization despite its strength and demonstrated ability to carry out complex operations internationally. Inadequate attention has especially been given to LeT's connections with organized criminal syndicates in India, as well as Indian terrorists themselves, thus neglecting the most critical enablers of LeT's activities inside the country. This book aims to fill this gap and to enhance American understanding of this powerful and sophisticated organization that is set to pose a major challenge to stability and American interests in South Asia and elsewhere.
