This state-of-the-art collection surveys today's challenges and research opportunities in risk assessment and the management of water resources. Contributors examine current theory, methodology, and applications of risk management; and strategies for natural, manmade, and technological hazards, as well as extreme and catastrophic events. In addition, computer software risk; water resources infrastructure and engineering approaches to risk and reliability analysis; and a risk simulation model for rehabilitation studies are explored.
