This work looks at how each of five major world religions - Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism - has treated ecology in the past, what the teaching of each has to say on the subject, and how that is applied today. The text is authored by religious practitioners and environmentalists from the religions in question. Contributors from each religion put forward a variety of material, ranging from poetry, stories and pictures to more conventional ideas and theories.
