This is the story of a boy growing up in many foster homes and his struggle for identity and for purpose amid uncertainty and instability. A passion for nature has always been a constant in his life, eventually taking him on many adventures around the world, working in wildlife conservation and engaging with many fascinating and colourful characters along the way.This is a story of perseverance, of saying, “never say can't”, but rather saying, “everything is possible” – reggardless of the obstacles that lie ahead. It is an uplifting story of a journey, of people who have touched or influenced him by their own remarkable stories, of places visited, and of goals accomplished. Above all it is a story of hope and inspiration for all to grab the opportunities that life provides.For nearly 26 years the author was blessed to have a 'life partner' with whom he shared his views on life, as well as on sexuality, philosophy, arts, and the natural world. With him, he shared a contentment he never thought possible. But then everything changed - Had something happened to him in a dishonorable event as a young boy when he was touched by a man who was a Child Care Society officer to result in a break up? Did he unknowingly suffer substantial and influential deep down feelings that later affected his marriage and falling in love with a man?In addition to having to deal with the breakdown in his relationship, the author has also had to deal with debilitating heart disease, including having open heart surgery that failed to resolve the condition Subsequently he has had 28 angioplasty and angiography involving 25 coronary stents. Like so many people who have had to learn to live with a disability he has found the fortitude to fight and continues to gain the strength both physically and mentally. He wants to continue to live life to the fullest, to further explore the world around him. It is his hope to provide some support to those that are suffering like him – and to see that there is
