A renowned criminal psychologist crosses over into vigilantism. Dr. Marvin Seaverman, a criminal psychologist and police consultant, has always wanted to protect children, but when he cannot even protect his own daughter, Debbie, something breaks inside him. Feeling powerless and frustrated, Merv turns his fury against the very fiends his training has taught him to understand: abusers of children. For over a decade, Merv has methodically catfished pedophiles, murdering the most egregious abusers, while successfully covering his tracks. All this time, the NYPD has remained oblivious to the existence of a vigilante serial killer in their city. This week, Merv has slipped, and Detective Sharone Lazar of the 101st precinct-Debbie's closest friend since childhood-has discerned the pattern. Sharone has not yet figured out the killer's identity, but it is only a matter of time.
