WMME was held in Macau on October 29-30th, 2011. WMME 2011 aimed to provide a forum for theoretical and technical exchanges regarding advanced theories, methodologies and techniques concerning all aspects of medical materials and engineering. Volume is indexed by Thomson Reuters CPCI-S (WoS). The 84 selected peer-reviewed papers are divided into the topics of medical materials; medical engineering; food, environment and health; thus making this work an excellent guide to the field.
