Education is vital for the progress of a nation. Pakistan has poor indices as far as the education sector is concerned.The aim of educational services in a country is not only to increase access to school-going-age children, but to improve quality of education, and to provide equal educational opportunities to all children irrespective of their class,faith,and gender.This research study focuses on the administrative system of the Educational Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.It explored the delivery of Public-School Education in the context of local government system. This book reviews the state of education and local government system both in the Undivided India and in Pakistan after 1947.It also discusses educational experiences of developed and under-developed countries. Moreover, a field study was conducted in Peshawar,a city of Pakistan, in order to find out the satisfaction level of educational stakeholders regarding the delivery of educational services.This research is an effort to contribute to the existing knowledge on the administrative aspect of the delivery of public school education and provides an empirical basis for policy making and planning
