Society is divided into two groups. The Humans, the superiority, live like kings and queens. The Peoples, the labor in factories, are counted toward production power instead of population. Harris, a boy not yet twelve, is a People orphan raised by a Human family and works as a servant for the family, but the Human family barely views him as a living being. When a terrorist vows to bring the peaceful world to war and Harris’s only friend become the terrorist's victim, he realizes that being the Peoples means not just submitting to a higher power.
