Text in Danish. With the release of Volume 8, the Dictionary of Danish Medieval Platform / Lexicon Mediae Latinitatis Danicae is now complete. The dictionary is 800 pages (including introduction and overview of excerpts texts) and covers the Latin-speaking Danish texts from the Middle Ages until the Reformation of 1536 in all areas and genres - eg letters, diplomas, laws, histories, saints, sermons, liturgical and other Theological texts, scholastic sciences, poetry, inscriptions, etc. The dictionary is aimed at everyone who deals with the Danish Middle Ages, be it political history, history of history, church history, theology, philosophy, literature, history of science and of course language. The dictionary thus contains the specific medieval latitude vocabulary, but also deals with the orthographic, morphological, syntactical and meaningful deviations of classical Latin in the classically-lied vocabulary. Exact text references are provided with exact quotes for all recorded phenomena. Translations, translations and language descriptions are in Danish, sometimes supplemented with Latin paraphrases.
