May Hill Arbuthnot, a nationally known lecturer on children's reading, conducted workshops and special lecture courses for parents and teachers in almost every state. During her distinguished teaching career at Western Reserve University, Mrs. Arbuthnot founded the University Nursery School. She was a contributor to Childhood Education, Parents Magazine, National Education Association Journal, and Elementary English Review. She is also the author of Time for Fairy Tales, Children and Books, and Children's Reading In the Home. This 3rd edition includes special contributions from the foremost authors of children's literature. It is a wonderful treasury of children's literature for study as well as reading to children.
