Author Description

The QUERCUS package is a collection of courseware modules designed to tutor bioscience students in the basic concepts and techniques of statistics. Throughout QUERCUS the highly visual and interactive nature of statistics teaching is emphasized; concepts are illustrated with diagrams, animations and simulations. Student understanding is developed and tested through the use of worked examples, exercises and multiple-choice tests. QUERCUS also provides training in the use of MINITAB for Windows. This book has been designed to provide the student with a framework for using the QUERCUS courseware to maximize its effectiveness as an aid to teaching and learning.
