He had been on the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu over a period of 35 years. He is a recipient of 'The Best Citizen of India' award from the International Publishing House, New Delhi. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Standards Engineers of the B.I.S. and Life Member of I.S.T.E. He has also authored two more books for J.N.T.U. viz. (i) Engineering Drawing Practice Laboratory, (ii) Engineering Graphics. Dr. V. Prabhu Raja, M.E., Ph.D., M.I.E., M.I.S.T.E., is Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, PSGCT, Coimbatore.
