
Tayenebe is an exhibition about Tasmanian Aboriginal women's historic & contemporary fibre work. Tayenebe is a word of the southeast Nueonne people of Bruny Island that means 'exchange' & the exhibition reveals three centuries of different cross and intercultural interactions based on the making and collecting of Tasmanian Aboriginal fibrework.
