Author Description

The purpose of this paper is to support researchers working in an Aboriginal context and to encourage them to adopt a holistic approach to Aboriginal policy research. The paper includes discussion of the following: the nature of knowledge; the historical and political background of Aboriginal women; the challenges of a holistic framework in Aboriginal policy research; research methods. The paper also includes an annotated bibliography of a selection of literature dealing with holistic, gender-based research methods, principles and applications.
