Author Description

This manual was created as a learning and reference tool for groups and organizations providing services to Aboriginal people. Its focus is trauma recovery for Survivors of residential school abuse, as well as for their descendants who suffer the intergenerational impacts. It is designed to serve two purposes. First, it provides a culture-based approach to trauma recovery in the context of residential school abuse for frontline workers. Secondly, it is an educational tool to raise awareness of Aboriginal culture and history in Canada.
